Can freedom come simply from breaking away from the alarm clock?

I’ve had a very special hatred for my alarm clock for years. Hate is a strong word, but honestly, the alarm clock is a tie to a modern system of control in my mind. Many of us work for a system that makes a ton of money off our labor and hard work and pays us only a fraction of our true value while those at the top create wealth by investing money without needing to use their time for labor. We can go into this in so much depth but basically I felt like a wage slave or a modern day share cropper.  While we did away with overt slavery, we never really got rid of the system, we just made it harder to detect via monetary policy, loans, and new systems of control.  The alarm clock is something I associate with this system sucking up  my time here on earth.

I made it my goal to never use an alarm clock again unless I wanted to wake up for a special event based on my OWN choice. Most days I wanted to wake up without an alarm.

I haven’t used an alarm to wake up for over 7 years. Ok, I’ll use an alarm if I have a pre 6am departure to the airport or if I’m in a totally new time zone with an important presentation in the morning. Otherwise, never. That’s real freedom to me.

I did it by combining four sleep hacking techniques that totally changed my quality of sleep and allowed me to wake up refreshed every morning. I wake up right when I want to by setting my intention to wake up at a certain time. Combined with getting true deep sleep at night, this works like a charm.

 There are four IMPORTANT ways you can ensure you get high-quality sleep and wake up refreshed and maybe someday, maybe someday soon, do away with your alarm.

Wake up without a blaring alarm in your ear and remove a layer of control from your life.

Delete All Devices (D.A.R.K Part I)

The first way to ensure you get to sleep and get high-quality sleep is to keep your bedroom free of all devices.

This means cellphones, tablets, laptops and TVs.

The bedroom is for two things. Sleeping is one of them.

Devices distract you, keep you awake, stress you, and control your behavior in more ways than you can imagine.

Make your bedroom a device free zone. You can read books in there, real paper books, and that’s it.

If your phone is your alarm, put it in airplane mode you enter your bedroom and DO NOT take it out of airplane mode till you exit your bedroom.

You phone is NOT the first thing you will check in the morning except to turn off your alarm, which you won’t be using for much longer anyway!

Soon your phone will become a paperweight in your bedroom, wrapped in an EMF blocking pouch and there just for emergencies.

Our bedroom has a red light (discount code SLEEP), books piled on night stands, and an EMF blocking canopy from Shielded Healing. We keep just one phone in the bedroom, on airplane mode, in an EMF blocking cellphone pouch. This is for emergencies. Should we need a phone at night, it’s there. We no longer look at our phones when we enter the bedroom. We do not bring our laptops in there. It’s a tech free zone.

Devices ruin sleep, period. Get them out of the bedroom, now.

Absolute Darkness (D.A.R.K Part II)

  When we say keep your bedroom dark, we don’t mean too dark to read a book. We mean too dark to see your hand in front of your face.

Trust me, that’s how dark your bedroom should be. After getting used to it, you’ll find that sleeping in total darkness is immensely helpful.

This is what walking outside at night may have looked like for most of human history:

Even your bedroom is not dark enough.

All those little blinky and glowing LED lights turned on all over the place, including the Smoke Detector and the charging light on the Macbook can impact your sleep.  

 

A 2013 study published in the journal of Biological Rhythms showed that even 5 Lux of dim light at night, about the same as in a typical bedroom (with the lights turned out), but 5 times more than moonlight can disturb sleep.

In fact, another recent study showed that women with dim lighting about the intensity of a nightlight in their bedrooms during sleep gained more weight than women with no lights in their bedroom.

Get those lights out of there!  

If you can’t remove them from the room completely then use this amazingly technical secret Biohacker trick:

Turn your phone over and place it face down on your nightstand so the light is not entering the room, then grab some black electrical tape (though I’ve been known to use blue too) and tape over the glowing lights  that appear in your room (smoke detector light, etc). You’d be surprised how much light all those little LEDs give off.

Next, draw your curtains. Ideally put in blackout curtains. Get rid of all that light pollution from streetlights, headlights, the Jimmy John Neon sign blaring in the window all night making it light enough after sunset to read a book with not lights on in the apartment (There’s an AirBNB I stayed in once that has a bedroom where the wall doesn’t go all the way up to the ceiling and the front facing window, the one facing Jimmy John’s, doesn’t have shades at the top of the window. I will never sleep there again!!).

You can also put a towel up against the bottom of your door if someone is awake and light is leaking through the bottom of your door. Just roll up a towel and place it against the bottom of the door where the gap is letting in light.

See that light coming in under the door, from the microwave, this is isn’t even showing the alarm clock, because I unplugged it.

ANNNND the curtains NEVER block out all the light. This is at 9pm in the winter, it’s supposed to be DARK, but it looks like the middle of the day out there and it’s shining into my room and messing with my biology.

 

Here’s my room after I used electrical tape and put a rolled up bath towel in front of the door. I also took the coat hanger from the closet, the one with the clips on it to hold pants, and I clipped the curtains closed.

What? You can’t see anything? Exactly. 

You can see I missed the eye hole in the door. I took care of that with tape later on but wanted you to know this was the same California hotel room I showed a picture of earlier, totally light hacked.

These steps will set you on the path to an alarm free life.

Don’t think that just because you CAN fall asleep with lights on that you are fine. Lights destroy your production of melatonin and this will have a biological cost to you. Never underestimate the power of light!

Reduce All Blue (D.A.R.K Part III)

Reduce all exposure to BLUE light!

Chronic exposure to blue light is one of the most overlooked health hazards in our modern life.

68% of Americans report not getting enough sleep during the week.

Blue Light from artificial indoor lighting and devices is going to be one of the main causes and is the next health danger of this decade!

Sitting is not the new smoking, it’s blue light!

We call blue light processed junk light. Because it’s been designed for visual benefit but not designed for health or biological compatibility.

Some experts think the change to LED and CFL in our homes and offices will cause an entire generation of blindness. It's not just harming us, it's harming the next generation as well!  

 We spend over 90% of our time indoors. As we strive for energy efficiency and begin to outlaw halogen and incandescent lighting, we are moving toward LED and CFL lights as our sole source of lighting.

Processed light from LED and CFL along with computer and phone screens have a large spike of blue frequency light as compared to other lighting sources such as incandescent, sunlight, and firelight.

Because we spend so much time indoors we're exposed more than ever to just this narrow band of blue frequency light without other frequencies we’d experience under natural sunlight.

 

Exposure to Blue Light like that energy efficient LED light you just installed, your iPad, phone, TV, or your beloved Netflix:

  • Causes the brain to stop producing melatonin in 99% of adults, making it difficult to fall asleep.
  • Doubles our chances for poor sleep making us tired in the morning.
  • Even if you “fall asleep” while watching TV, your brain doesn’t produce melatonin for 90 extra minutes, causing you to get the equivalent rest of only 6 hours per night!
  • Disrupts circadian rhythm and is associated with everything from cancer to heart diseases to obesity.

Damn. After learning all this, I had to go back and take out those expensive LED recessed lights and put the halogens back in. Health is worth more to me than saving some money.

Remember, I want you to wake up every single morning FREE of any alarms.


You really have two choices here and I fully support both of them.

  1. You can live in the woods, away from any light pollution and literally shut off your power at night. I really do know people who do this. They turn off the power to the entire house. Then use candles to read books.
  2. Or, you can continue to live in the modern world and find a way to block all that blue light.

The #1 best way to do this is just to put on a pair of blue light blocking glasses. There are many brands available now that this information is becoming more well known.

  • Still watch TV and not ruin your sleep.

Keep it Kool (D.A.R.K Part IV)

Have you ever taken a warm bath or shower before bed?

It feels so good to get under the covers when everything is just all warmed up. Especially in the winter.

Sometimes, you might even curl up in some warm pajamas under a nice heavy blanket.

What if I told you that the shower and pajamas could be affecting your sleep and making it harder for you to function the next day?

Sorry, pajama lovers.

  • Keep it Kool - keep your sleeping environment cool

Today we’re talking about the Kool part….which means keeping your environment cool.

Our bodies naturally drop in temperature before sleep and keeping your room cool will help that process and make it easier to fall asleep.

The body’s circadian rhythm causes our core temperature to drop to it’s lowest point at night during sleep. Sleep is more likely to occur when the body is cooler than warmer. It’s true, the temperature of your sleeping environment impacts the quality of your sleep. There is a specific temperature range that has been shown ideal for the highest quality sleep. 

So what’s the ideal temperature range for sleep?

60-67 Fahrenheit.

What can you do?

1. Set your thermostat to lower the temperature at bedtime to 60-67 degrees. Personally, I found that 64 degrees in the winter is as low as my wife will let me go.
2. Sleep Naked - this article discusses why sleeping naked is better for you and might just lead to more sex too :). What do you think, did men do all the research for this article?
3. Wear socks. Wearing socks can help your body stay at an ideal temperature while feeling warmer, since the rest of you is naked, of course.
4. If you shower or bathe before bed, turn the water to cold for a minute before getting out. That seems like a lot to ask, but it really, really works. If that’s a stretch for you, cool off after stepping out of the bath by stepping outdoors before you dry (especially awesome in the cold of winter). If even that isn’t going to happen then letting your body cool down significantly before you get dressed or get into bed will help.
5. Get a Chili Pad. If your partner wants the bed, and room, hotter than you like, here’s a great tool you can put under your sheet to keep you cool while you sleep. You can set the temperature of that pad, cooler or warmer depending on what you need without changing the room temperature. Tim Ferriss swears by it.
6. Get a box fan. Any fan will do, but I love old school box fans. The white noise cancels out nighttime noises of your house or apartment and the breeze keeps your room and body cooler. I use mine all year round, but in the summer they are especially nice.
7. Cotton sheets are best. Cotton is lightweight and breathable.
8. Sleep in the basement. As long as your basement is clean and free of mold, it’s usually cooler than any other part of your home. I have a bedroom in my basement that gets lots of use. It stays about 60 degrees, and feels cold at first, but I always sleep like a baby down there.
9. When I travel, I can’t always set the hotel thermostat to cool. In that case I usually just set the temperature to 65, knowing it won’t cool because the adjacent rooms are keeping it too warm. I then open a window, even in the winter. The fresh air is wonderful and the heat kicks on if it cools below 65.

Can You Create D From Cold

Good morning everybody
I know getting outside in the winter can be challenging for you. 
You already know how important it is to get outside into the dawn light, when the sun is just starting to break through. 
Well, it's -15F here right now.

THE EXACT STEPS TO MADE D IN WINTER

1. Grounding
Anyway, you want to get grounded if possible when you are outside cold adapting and seeing the sun. 
I want you all to go out and grab some grounding straps for your winter boots. They're super inexpensive, You can buy some from us or from anywhere else online.
These will get you grounded in winter without being barefoot at 0 degrees.
2. Dawn
OK, so getting outside at dawn has a ton of benefits and too many to list here. For now, you want to get your body outside at sunrise. Look this up on your favorite weather app and get outside within 30 minutes of sunrise. That's within 30 minutes of when the sun rises on the weather app, not when you can actually see the sun. 
3. Skin in the Game
Get at least some of your skin uncovered to the sun. 
Yep, it will be cold. It's winter after all, but you all are tough!
Expose some skin, this is critical. 
4. Hang Out
Now, I want you to be outside for at least 5 minutes. 
You can do some jumping jacks or qigong or whatever to keep yourself warm and outside. 

The Mechanism

So, that's all pretty easy. 
Now the blue light from the sun can supposedly create a pressure on your skin and vessels and this pressure creates a squeeze inside the body. 
When certain things are squeezed, they can create a laser. In this case, we believe we can create a UV laser inside the body that stimulates the Vitamin D receptors allowing D creation in the winter!
This is a miracle of biology and nature.

Your teeth are cleaned from the INSIDE!

I work hard to remove fluoride from my water and antimicrobials from my soap. I go out of my way to put healthy, useful things into my body. The last thing I want to do is use a toxic toothpaste full of chemicals that are going to be absorbed into my gums and body.

I can’t stand regular toothpaste. Not only does it taste so sweet I can’t stand it, but it’s full of things that I’d rather not put in my body.

The problem is that I want to have clean and white(ish) looking teeth, Can’t I get that without the gnarly ingredients in common toothpaste? Even the Whole Foods toothpastes have ingredients I want to avoid.

Over the last 7 years I have been experimenting with toothpaste that is fluoride free and glycerin free. I do not want added fluoride in my body from non-natural sources and have always heard that glycerin on teeth does not allow the teeth to re-mineralize. Glycerin leaves a biofilm on the teeth and leaves them prone to tooth decay. Teeth are living and need blood from the body to nourish them, saliva to keep them moist. Teeth allow certain substances into them through pores to keep healthy. The nourishment goes awry when we bathe them in chemicals that don’t belong.

 

Over these last 7 years I have tried different toothpastes and powders rated well on the internet for 6 months each. At the beginning of each 6 months I ended a dentist appointment with a cleaning and polishing. At the end of the 6 months I went into the dentist and they assessed the plaque, staining and gum health of my mouth.

 

I have tried commercially available tooth powders

Benefits – no glycerin, no fluoride, said to brighten tooth luster (I’m not sure what this even  means).

– This powder stained my teeth brown, or did such a poor job of cleaning stain that my teeth were stained brown from drinking tea. Really noticeably brown. The dentist polished my teeth with extra grit to make them white again after using this stuff.

I didn’t want regular toothpaste with all the junk, so I tried fluoride free toothpastes from the natural section at the store like Tom’s of Maine.

Benefits – No fluoride, still looks and feels like a typical toothpaste that we all grew up with.

–  This also left my teeth stained and every one of them I could find anywhere online or in stores contained glycerin and an artificial sweetener.

Salt

I tried brushing with salt. This was horrible and didn’t feel effective.

Soap

I tried brushing with soap. Literally wetting a bar of soap and rubbing my wet toothbrush over it and then brushing. It was gross, tasted horrible and also left me with stained teeth.

Now What?

My teeth stain easily. If I use high end fluoride with whitening toothpaste, my teeth generally get white. But these contain glycerin, sometimes sodium lauryl sulfate (to create foaming in the mouth, purely aesthetic with no real effect), glass beads, plastic microbeads (environmental disaster), artificial sweeteners, and fluoride.

However much I want to avoid all that, if I use these products, I also tend to get some gum bleeding in a couple spots when I go to the dentist and they stick that steel pick in my gums. It frickin hurts.

So not only do these have ingredients I don’t want to use, but the are not helping my gums.

The Routine That Works

The routine I have been using for the last 12 months had the hygienist and dentist asking me what I changed to have such healthy gums and teeth. My gum health numbers improved, my stains were almost nonexistent.

Here is what I do today

I am using a toothpowder that I have to make myself. This stuff really works!! Believe me, I have tried almost everything.

I found this recipe from a combination of searching online, trying out many ingredients over years, and reading Nadine Artemis’s amazing and short book Successful Self Dentistry.

Night

  1. I floss, using as proper technique as I can. Once a day. Before I brush my teeth at night.

2. I then use the waterpic set at a 6 setting out of 12. 12 is too high and hurts my gums and I have heard natural dentists say you should never use them that high.  I use reverse osmosis water so as not to be forcing chlorinated and fluoridated water into my gums.

waterpick3. I then brush my teeth with a Sonicare toothbrush with tooth powder that I adapted from this book (Successful Self Dentistry). I put it on my brush dry, with a dry brush, and brush. I rinse the brush off at the end, and spit without putting water into my mouth. I really try to keep the chlorine and fluoride out of my mouth.

If I’m planning to spend time with my wife, I will add 2 drops of cinnamon or lemon or other essential oil to the toothbrush after the toothpowder is on it and before I brush to really give my mouth a clean and wonderful smell.

This is what my toothpowder looks like. I just dip my dry toothbrush right into it and then brush.

Morning

When I wake up I use the Bass brushing technique with a children’s toothbrush dry, nothing on it.

Sometime during the day I use my rubber tip device to stimulate the gums. Usually I do this 3 times a week while at work in front of the computer.

Whitening

If I need my teeth to me a little whiter, I can immediately improve whiteness by breaking open a capsule of activated charcoal (the kind you buy as a supplement for a night of drinking let’s say), and pour it into a small glass container. I then dip a dry toothbrush into the charcoal and wipe it on my teeth. Do not brush with it. Let is sit 2-5 minutes, rinse and then brush. Whiter teeth!!

That’s it.

My Toothpowder Recipe

2 Tbs Aztec Bentonite Clay

1tbs Baking Soda

1tsp Magnesium carbonate

1tsp calcium carbonate or citrate

1tsp sea salt

2 capsules activated charcoal emptied into the powder

Stir and keep in a sealed small glass jar.

 You can MAKE YOUR OWN TOOTHPASTE

Place into a glass jar. 
Dip a dry toothbrush in and brush as normal, do not wet the brush until you clean it off at the end of brushing. 

Why you Need to Build a 5G Fortress

5G is going to rock the world when it hits

Not only because 5G has never been tested for safety but because it’s going to blanket the entire globe. Oh, wait, I wrote this 3 years ago and now 5G is here!

Elon Musk and the head of the FCC says 5G will cover every square inch of the globe when we launch it from satellites, if you believe there are such things. Likely it will be blasted from phones, cars, towers, and homes. 

People think they have 5G active now, but there are so few 5G chips in devices at this point that it’s likely only 4G LTE advanced being used, regardless of the 5G symbol on your new iPhone.

All these frequencies use invisible wave forms. These are called EMF, electromagnetic frequencies.

There are techniques you can use to mitigate the microwave radiation from 5G.

The same techniques that save you from 5G will also save you from 4G, so let’s get started.

 

Here’s exactly what to think about

5G and 4G are invisible wavelengths traveling through the air.

These signals are emitted by your cellphones, WIFI router, TVs, laptops, tablets, cellphone towers, and now also Elon Musk’s satellites.

There are 3 ways to mitigate damage from these invisible fields:

  1. Time
  2. Distance
  3. Active Blocking

 

Time

Keep your phone in airplane mode unless you are actively using it.

Tur your WIFI router off at night. Or better yet, hardwire you house and tur your WIFI router off permanently.

Plug all smart appliances into power strips and turn off the power strips when not in use. Smart TVs and printers emit WIFI constantly, EVEN WHEN TURED OFF!!

Spend as little time as you can with WIFI and cellphones on.

Distance

The further you are from a source of EMF, the less impact it will have on you.

Do not buy a house close to cellphone towers. Ideally you want to be miles from the nearest tower to the point where your cellphone doesn’t actually work from your home and property.

Put as much distance from your WIFI router and you as possible. Put it in the basement if you spend all your time on the upper floors.

Active Blocking

Since most people have houses already and aren't buying new houses right now, we’ll talk about setting up your current home.

Shielding with metal, trees, earth, textiles.

All these things block EMF.

First, metal can block EMF, so you would do well to reside and re-roof your house in metal. A metal roof and metal siding would be great ideas.

Next, you could spend some big money and add a product called Mu Metal over your drywall and then drywall over that. It will block EMF.

Controversial but being done is to add lead paint to you walls to block EMF from coming in your home. We don’t recommend this.

We actually added an EMF blocking “cage” around our bed. We highly recommend this. We simply added a single piece of sheer silver fabric around our bed that has been tested to block EMF. Paint!

You can buy shielding paint and paint the walls, ceiling, and floors. Here’s a video of me painting a bedroom. The shielding paint will block EMF from entering the home or room. The US defense department uses this type of paint to create shielded rooms.

Pine trees

Trees block EMF. Pine trees are said to block the most. Take time now to line your property with Pine trees. Specifically, 5G is easily blocked by trees.

Building Cold and Pools

EMF and 5G cannot always be completely eliminated. The best way to recover each day is to get grounded, cold, and into the water.

Grounding is simply standing barefoot on the ground. When you do this any built up charge in your body is eliminated through your contact with the ground. This is important to fit in each day.

If you aren’t able to get outside, most people still have metal (copper) plumbing in their homes. You can simply take a bath or a shower, assuming you have an iron, cast iron, or steel tub or tiled shower. If you have a plastic tub or shower this may not work. The copper pipes run into the ground and thus “ground” your bath or shower and therefore ground YOU when you are in the tub or shower.

Water is also a natural faraday cage. Faraday cage is something that blocks EMF from entering. When you take a bath, and possibly a shower, you protect your body and brain from being bombarded by EMF and give yourself a chance to recover.  You can also get into a pool and swim or a natural body of water. Make sure you home has either a grounded tub, hot tub, cold plunge pool, pool, or natural body of water you can get into.

Buying a Home for 5G

How to Search for a place to live When 5G hits 

5G frequencies are different from 4G, 4G LTE and 4G LTE advanced.  

5G is higher in frequency and the wavelengths are shorter meaning they are more powerful.  

They also don’t travel as far as 4G.  

5G is more easily blocked than 4G, unless of course you have a 5G enabled device in your home calling for 5G frequencies.  

Because 5G won’t travel as far, the antennas are going to be (many already are) placed at street and human level to allow them to enter homes. While 4G can enter homes from the walls and roof, 5G is largely blocked by these things.  

Keep in mind that when 5G is turned on, 4G isn’t going away and will be flooding the world in addition to the 5G.  

When looking for a house, you want to ensure to choose something that will block both 4G and 5G!

Buy a fortress 

Metal and earth block 5G. If you can find a home that’s sided in metal with a metal roof, you will have gone a long way to stop 5G and 4G from entering your home. If you can find a rammed earth home or a home that’s partially underground, or even a home where the bedrooms are in the basement, these all will protect you and your family from much of these frequencies.  

Move to the country (till 5G comes form above, quote about every square inch of planet) 

Cities have a high density of people. Everyone has their phone on, their WIFI routers on all the time, their Smart TVs, their self driving cars and more...  

To serve all these people, cities have to install more antennas and towers emitting 5G and 4G. This is because each antenna can only handle so many incoming and outgoing communications, usually 4 at most. So an apartment building with 1000 people will need a hundred antennas per se.  

When you buy a home in the country, there are fewer people per mile and therefor fewer antennas and WIFI and cellphone leakage from neighbors. In some places you will not even receive cellphone coverage. That’s an ideal area if you ask me.  

Find a home in the country that gets little to no cellphone reception and is far away from any neighbors. In addition, steer clear of overhead powerlines and sub stations.  

 

Pine trees 

Trees block EMF like that from 4G and 5G. Specifically, pine trees are said to block the most EMF.  

Find a home surrounded by pine trees.  

Build a cold plunge or cold pool or even hot tub 

Water acts as a natural farday cage. A faraday cage blocks EMF.  

Look for a home with a pool or hottub, or even a natural body of water.  

Get in this water often to let your body detox from the EMF bombardment it gets all day long.  

Bonus points for using cold water because this activates ancient pathways that can lead to healing and improved health.

The Earth Makes EMF and It's Good For You

 

Yes, it’s true, there is EMF that’s good for us, and it comes directly from the Earth and Sun.  

We all live indoors these days and we’re insulated from Nature.  

We don’t get out in the sun, and many doctors today will tell you the sun is toxic.  

Manmade EMF like Wi-Fi, cellphone radiation and Bluetooth causes inflammation and can lead to health problems.  

We rarely if ever touch our feet to the earth and instead insulate ourselves from the ground by wearing rubberized soles in our shoes. 

By doing this, we miss out on the beneficial EMF that heals us and restores our vitality.  

We call this nature’s EMF.  

Anything created by man, that our bodies haven’t been designed to deal with we call Non-Native EMF (nn-EMF). And these are the fields that largely harm our biology.  

Nature’s EMF is used by our bodies to heal, sync us to the Earth and Nature, and even helps us sleep. 

 

Daytime Electric Field..Thanks Sun  

During the day the sun shines on the Earth. There is an electric field produced on Earth wherever there is daylight. This field is energizing and create by photons entering the atmosphere.  

In addition, the Earth receives thousands of lightning strikes every second. These strikes drive electrons into the earth and also create the Schumann Resonance.  

Our bodies can use the electrons in the Earth and are also attuned to the Schumann Resonance. Science is still learning how this works and what effect it has on us, but we know that when humans travel to space and leave these fields, their bodies break down.  

The Russian’s recreate a Schumann Resonant frequency in space to keep the cosmonauts healthier.  

 

Nighttime Magenetic Field..Thanks Earth  

 

At night, without photons bombarding the atmosphere, the Earth’s Magnetic Field is more prominent. Our opinion is that this magnetic field is healing and we take advantage of it in our sleep to heal our bodies.  

If we sleep above ground level, like in 3rd or 10th floor apartments, or even just in a 2nd floor bedroom, we are quite far away from the proper Earth fields we should experience and rather bombarded by manmade fields from cell towers and Wi-Fi and electrical currents in the walls.  

If you want to take advantage of the healing magnetic field, sleep as close to the ground as possible.  Sleeping in a basement bedroom both allows you to be close to the Earth's magnetic field and minimizes or eliminates the manmade EMF fields.  

 

Grounding 

Remember all those lightning strikes hitting the Earth every second? This embeds electrons into the Earth, which is why the Earth is the largest source of negative energy and why we “ground” electrical things into the Earth. You can stand barefoot on the Earth and allow positive charge in your body, known as inflammation, to drain out into the ground. How amazing is our Earth?  You’ll want to be barefoot to do this and stand on a conductive surface like grass, dirt, rocks, cement, concrete. If you stand on a wood deck, asphalt or plastic you will not be grounded. You also cannot ground through your shoes or through nylon or polyester socks, those are plastic. Get some wool or cotton socks or go barefoot.  

 

Schumann Resonance 

Those lightning strikes hitting the ground create a band of frequency close to the surface of the Earth.  

The collective lightning strike frequency is known as the Schumann Resonance. Humans and animals, probably plants too, are tuned to this frequency. Cosmonauts in Russia recreate this frequency in their spacecraft to keep healthy.  

The Schumann Resonance averages to 7.83Hz. This is exactly the alpha brain wave humans attain when in meditation. It’s probably important to tune into this.  

When you sleep or live further from the surface of the Earth, like in an apartment or 2nd floor bedroom, you are more removed from this resonance. 

 

Sunlight is Information 

When we talk about nature's frequencies, the majority of those come from the Sun.  

Sunlight, both visible and invisible, is information to the body.  

Ignore this information – by wearing sunscreen, clothes, and living indoors – and you will be worse off for it.  

Obviously get safe sun exposure. This means building a solar callus and slowly working to get more sun.  

Getting sun on your naked sun is pure information to the body. This sets your circadian rhythm, tells your body what time of day it is and what time of year. This information can be used to make vitamin D and more.  

When we hide from the sun, we completely miss out on this quantum information.  

Studies actually show that people that get the most sun die less often.  

Sun has both visible light and invisible light. We know there is invisible light, like ultraviolet and infrared. I would argue that there are more invisible wavelengths that we even know about. Science isn’t all knowing. I would also guess that these invisible wavelengths we don’t know about are extremely important to health.  

Bottom line is get outside.  

 

When is the Best Time to Get Earth Based EMF?  

If you want to take advantage of all this good juju the earth and Sun provide, then you need to do a few key things.  

The best times are dawn and dusk. However, any time you can get outside is a win. 

 

Get Outside First Thing in the Morning 

At sunrise your body will read the light and set your circadian rhythm for the day. This is extremely important.  

Also, dawn sun has no UV in it. Your body has receptors for UV and it will know there’s none, so be prompted to correctly set your circadian rhythm.  

When we stay inside and look at our phone, the body is tricked, through the blue light of the phone, into thinking it’s later in the day and then mismatches your rhythm to the actual time.  

 

Where BlueBlockers 

We can’t stress this enough. Get those BLUEBLOCKERS on.  

These are to be worn whenever the sun is not in the sky (After sunset and before sunrise).  

Blue light frequencies mess up your rhythm and are associated with diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and obesity when you see blue light at night.  

At night during sleep  

Lights out, connect to the earth by sleeping as close to the ground as possible. Turn off the breakers to your bedroom or better yet the whole house, or better yet, just sleep outside.  

You could also use a grounding sheet from Earthing Company. We use a King size grounding sheet under our bottom sheet to stay grounded all night.  

Magnetico mattress pad can help create a static magnetic field around you mimicking the earths field from centuries ago and possibly protecting you from the cell tower down the road.  

WiFi off at night and cell on airplane mode and into a farday cage pouch so it’s not tracking you and you guarantee no one can turn it on at night and radiate you with the wrong signals. Yup, I do think some companies turn on cell phones for brief milliseconds even when in airplane to download a bit of data on you.. don’t take the risk. 

 

Faraday Cage Bedroom  

We highly recommend sleeping inside a faraday cage. This is material that blocks manmade nnEMF like that from your WiFI, celltowers and your daughters cellphone that’s on all night. To create a primal environment while you sleep, think about investing in a faraday cage for your bed. We use one from Brian Hoyer at Shielded Healing.  

 

 

First thing in the morning when we wake, we get on our blueblockers to avoid signaling our body with the wrong messages.  

Get outside first thing to expose yourself to the electric field and the sun.  

Preferably barefoot on the earth so you can take advantage of the photoelectric effect and absorbing more electrons from the earth while dumping positive charge (inflammation).  

I understand it’s winter in northern climates and this is difficult to be barefoot, and that’s why we’ve sourced these grounding heel straps you can attach to any boot or shoe and be grounded without be barefoot.  They just slip on and off in seconds so you just put them on when you want to ground.  

 

Conclusion 

Get outside as often as possible and remove as many non-native sources of EMF as you can during the day and especially at night.

Why You're Using Your Cellphone All Wrong

I bet You Don’t know How to Use a Cellphone 

Safely that is.  

Your cellphone is a microwave emitting device.  

Ever stuck your head in a microwave?  

No?  

Seems like a bad idea, right?  

Yet you have no problem holding  your cellphone to your head for hours every single day.  

Some of your even sleep with your cellphone under you pillow.  

Take a look at the safety sticker that’s on your microwave. I don’t have one, but I went to the neighbors and looked at it.  

Now, go and look at the sticker on the back of your WIFI router.  

You will now have a better sense of perspective.  

The frequency emitted by your microwave and by your wifi router are the EXACT same frequencies.  

So, if you don’t want to stick your head in your microwave, and your cellphone and wifi router emit the exact same frequency, what gives?  

Truth  

The truth is that microwave radiation and its effects on human biology has been well studied. In over 5,500 peer reviewed, published papers the truth is laid our in black and white.  

Microwave radiation, like that given off by cellphones affects learning, sleep, mood, behavior, and health.  

Modern humans are bombarded with an astounding 1 quintillion more microwaves today than ever before in human history.  

When you carry a cellphone in your pocket, you are exposing yourself non-stop to the frequency associated with that cellphone.  

Every cellphone or cellphone provider uses a slightly different signal. 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and now 5G all use different frequencies to connect.  

Because the frequencies are all different and each frequency has a slightly different effect and each human has more or less susceptibility to any particular frequency, it is hard to nail down that cellphones are negatively affecting us because each human, carrying a different frequency around will have a different effect from that.  

One person may have an issue with their eyes while another gets cancer. These frequencies affect us differently. One thing that is not in question based on centuries of research is that wireless radiation absolutely affects biology.  

Safe Use Instructions  

Oddly, your cellphone doesn’t come with safe use instructions. HOWEVER, it does tell you right in the safety/regulatory manual that touching your cellphone while it’s turned on violates the safety requirements.  

Read that again!  

Touching your cellphone while in use specifically stated to be avoided for safe use.  

I bet none of your has read that part of your cellphone manual.  

So… if you can’t touch your cellphone while it’s turned on, what do you do?  

 

Wireless radiation affects can be mitigated with 3 key strategies. Follow these and you will minimize your exposure to harmful man-made EMF.  

 

Time 

The less time you are exposed to microwaves, the better.  

Use your phone, WIFI, and Bluetooth for as little time as possible.  

Spend as little time in high EMF environments. These are places like coffee shops and even your office where high powered WIFI is pumped out for everyone to use.  

When I’m at corporate headquarters bathed in junk light and wifi, I make sure to spend as little time inside as possible. If I can work, meet, and take my lunch outside, I will.  

 

Distance 

Wireless radiation diminishing quickly with distance.  

There is a law called the inverse square law that is applied to wireless radiation. This means that for every 1X increase in distance from the source there is a 10X drop in the intensity of the radiation.  

Position yourself as far as possible away from a microwave radiation source. Even a few inches can make a huge difference.  

If you can’t turn off a wireless source of radiation, move as far away from it as possible.  

When a friend of mine measured the WIFI radiation in her son’s high school she found that just moving desks from under the WIFI router that was installed on the ceiling to a desk 5 seats away dropped the radiation levels by more than 10X.  

 

Blocking  

Obviously the best way to reduce wireless radiation is to turn it off. Most of us can’t do that completely. Though we do more than most people, which I’ll explain below.  

When you can’t turn off the wireless, you can block it.  

Microwave radiation can be blocked by metal.  

There are faraday cages you can put your wifi router into and it will significantly reduce the radiation. It will not block all the wifi or else your devices would not be able to connect to it. These are metallic cages with enough gaps in the metal screen to allow some of the wifi out but at significantly reduced signal power.  

You can buy a faraday cage (LINK) for your phone. These are metal lined pouches that block all radiation going to and coming from your phone. These are great if you have someone in your family sleeping with their phone or if you want to be absolutely protected from your phone.  

We keep our phones in the pouches while we sleep even when they are in airplane mode. We know that people have been measuring wireless radiation from their phones even when in airplane mode. This is likely due to software companies calling for private data about you to be sent to the cloud all the time as well as reveal your location. We do not consent to this and therefore keep our phones in pouches so they cannot connect to the cloud or spray us with radiation while we sleep.  

In addition, we take it a step further by surrounding our bed in a faraday cage. While we can turn off our wifi and cellphones at night, we cannot stop the cellphone tower from sending radiation into our bedroom while we sleep.  

Actually, we can stop it by surrounding our bed with metal mesh fabric. This blocks the radiation from our “sleep chamber”.  

Whenever we fly or travel, we always wear our Primalhacker EMF blocking hoodies. It’s impossible to get away from wireless when traveling and thus we do our best to reduce what we’re exposed to as much as possible.  LINK 

You can also mitigate some of the radiation given off by your laptop while on wifi by using one of these products from Harapad.  

Blocking wireless radiation is often our best choice these days when we cannot get away from it. 

 

Airplane Mode 

Your cellphone, tablet, and laptop all have airplane Mode.  

Use it! 

Whenever you are not downloading messages or making a phone call, turn your devices onto airplane mode.  

Don’t forget that when your laptop is connected to a LAN line, you need to enable airplane mode. Otherwise it’s still pinging wifi every once in a while for no reason.  

If you have your cellphone in your pocket, put it in airplane mode.  

This is why we have voicemail and texts.  

I modified my voicemail message to state that I do not listen to voicemail, honestly who has time for that.  

I ask callers to send me a text.  

When I pop my phone out of airplane mode and download data, I see the texts and call back whoever I need to. I am not on call 24/7.  

Airplane mode will disable your WIFI, cellphone, cell data, and Bluetooth.  

It will not disable the GPS. GPS is always on. You can convince yourself of this by using maps on your phone and then turning your phone to airplane mode. The maps will keep up just fine.  

Be careful though, because some people turn their phones to airplane mode and the wifi or Bluetooth is still on. Check to make sure these are actually turned off when your phone is in airplane mode.  

One phone hack is to only have the wireless on that you need. Instead of ALWAYS having Bluetooth, Cell Service, and WIFI on all the time, just turn on the one that you need.  

Each of these is a separate antenna microwaving you. Turn on only the antenna you actually need.  

 

Hardwire 

You can get rid of wireless at your home.  

We have “hardwired” our home. Here’s an article we wrote detailing how we did this without pulling wire through walls.

Go into your router settings and disable the WIFI.  

Get a LAN cable and connect all your devices to the wired cables. Your TV, video game console, cellphones, and laptops will all connect to a wired connection.  

The best part isn’t just that you’ll be protected from the wireless radiation but wired connections are faster than wireless.  

 

Stop being EMF’d.  Adopt some or all of the suggestions above to improve your health.
